Leadership, organization, talent: the formula for building winning teams

Mindset
A new perspective on talent: not as something you either have or do not have, but as a capability that develops through effort, mistakes and practice.
The ability to recognize, in oneself and in one’s teams, the moments when one slips into a fixed mindset: when faced with criticism, failure, or a daunting challenge.
An understanding that a growth mindset is not a motivational slogan: it only becomes meaningful when it is embedded in concrete practices around feedback, assessment and people development. For anyone leading a team — or an entire organisation — it becomes a powerful lever for unlocking potential that talent alone would otherwise leave untapped.
Lynda Gratton
People & Organization
A systemic view of organisational change: hybrid work, performance, compensation, workplace design and leadership are no longer separate levers, but interconnected parts of a single system. Real transformation comes from designing these areas in a coherent and integrated way, rather than through disconnected initiatives.
People strategy as a strategic business choice: the way anorganisation designs work and its people practices will shape competitiveness just as much as decisions around products and technology. It is a conversation that belongs at the top of the organisation, alongside a renewed role for HR.
New principles of organisational design: moving beyond the linear career model to create roles, career paths and mobility across multiple stages.
Ettore Messina
High-performing team
A new perspective on where results are really won: when the pressure hits, there is no room for improvisation — you can only rely on what has been built beforehand. On the court and in business.
The idea that a great team is never simply the sum of its individual talents, but rather the result of what those talents are willing to contribute to a shared goal. A leader’s role is not to have the best people, but to enable each of them to perform at their best: this is where individual talent becomes collective performance.
Practical insights and first-hand experience on how to maintain the same hunger, discipline and attention to detail when results seem to validate your approach and the temptation is to ease off.
